Sunday, September 11th, is Grandparents Day and that has us thinking about the influence our grandparents have on our lives. Near or far, they have had an effect on us. They raised our parents after all and helped established some of our most loved family traditions. They'll be the first to remind us that they grew up in a time without malls, cell phones or computers. Just think about the changes they have seen in their life time! And they knew all about reusing and recycling before they were big business. They knew how to "make do" and can certainly teach us about being frugal. Remember to let them know how special they are. If you can, spend some time with them. Take a walk, or take them to lunch. And if you can't be with them make sure they know you're thinking about them.
